NMN-Pregnancy Gospel for Senior Women
2022/01/11
With the increasing number of late marriages and late childbearing in the country, the second-child policy, and even the looming phenomenon of third-children in some areas, groups of elderly women who are preparing for pregnancy have begun to move toward the public eye. The various problems arising from it also appeared: the quality of the eggs was reduced, the body organs were unable to meet the conditions of the whole pregnancy, and the mentality was anxious, all of which formed huge obstacles to the road of aging women to seek children.
At present, a large number of studies on nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) include one for the development of female oocytes and early embryos, and the female oocytes are still for aging oocytes. That is similar to "older" eggs.
High-quality oocytes are a prerequisite for successful conception and early embryo development, and are the material basis for the beginning of life. In most mammals, female reproductive senescence is defined as a significant decline in the number and quality of follicles and oocytes.
Studies have shown that women`s fertility begins to decline in their early 30s, and declines more rapidly after the age of 35, accompanied by a significant increase in the incidence of infertility, miscarriage, embryonic death, and congenital birth defects. The significant decline of NAD+ levels in various tissue cells is the most important factor leading to a series of age-related diseases.
As the precursor of NAD+, NMN has a huge application prospect.
A study conducted by the College of Animal Science and Technology of Nanjing Agricultural University showed that supplementing NMN in aging mice can restore the NAD+ level of maternal aging oocytes and improve their maturity, fertilization and subsequent embryonic development potential.
